Las Vegas is always among the top destination to visit in the USA. It is known internationally primarily for its gambling, shopping, fine dining, entertainment, and nightlife. The atmosphere is always festive and buzzing with life from sunrise till sunset. So, no matter when you decide to be there, if you plan to visit the city of Las Vegas you will feel that you are in the peak season.
Getting to Las Vegas
The experience starts already while getting to Las Vegas as while you gaze from above the landscape you will be about to experience the high contrast of mountain with snow and deserts, and then desert to the shiny city of Las Vegas appearing in the middle of nowhere. It is impressive to consider how such a city was constructed in such a location, but it all started due to its close proximity to freshwater springs.

When landed in Las Vegas, it was a surprise to see that even in an international airport there were machine slots and gambling advertisements everywhere – a reminder that you entered one of the most popular gambling locations in the world.
Although Las Vegas is well known for its mega-casinos and iconic wedding chapels, there are certainly more things that you can do in Las Vegas rather than gambling or getting married. Here is to highlight some of the best things you could do in the Strip of Las Vegas - free and paid options.

Things to Do
If you choose to stay close to the Strip, taking a tour to see the different mega hotels and casino is an attraction on its own. Huge constructions each of them with different themes, from the Pyramids and Sphinx of Egypt, to the Eiffel Tower, Medieval Castles and New York City replicas, you will need more than a day to experience it all. All of these buildings have a similar function, primarily being a hotel, a casino and a shopping mall. Some of them are connected via the Las Vegas Tram (Mandalay Bay – Luxor – Excalibur, MGM – Bellagio, Mirage – Treasure Island). The tram is free of charge and run daily.
Visit the atrium at the Mirage Hotel, a beautiful place to relax. Very calm space with nice the light, smell and tropical greenery.

Visit the Venetian Hotel with its impressive indoor canal with gondolas on the second floor. Expect to feel like being in the middle of a rather surreal dream.

Visit the different fountains in Caesars Palace. Walk the impressive indoor streets, where time stands stills to find the Fountains of the Gods and Atlantis Show. Caesars Palace is an enormous hotel that you could probably spend quite some time exploring both outdoors and indoors.

Visit the Bellagio fountains, probably the most known fountain in the Strip for its beautiful choreography. There are frequent performances every day in the afternoon and night. Bellagio has also one of the largest Conservatory & Botanical Gardens in the Strip with different themes presented around the year.

Walk by Paris Las Vegas and have a break in "New York City". Admire the impressive replicas from Landmarks around the world as you walk South the Strip. The South Strip becomes host the more surreal part of the Strip. Enter the Medieval Hotel named Excalibur, the moving walkway at the entrance while saving you some steps. Visit the Pyramid at Luxor. The outside of the pyramid looks large but once you enter you will feel like being in a much larger place. On each side of the pyramid, there are hotel rooms and at the center of the pyramid, you can find all the other recreations and activities that are offered there.

You can do shopping anyway on the Strip, as there are as many shopping malls as hotel and casinos. Another alternative could be to visit the Fashion Show, where you can find a large variety and more affordable brands for shopping comparing to the high-end brands inside that are typical dominating most of the hotels in the Strip.

During the night the already vivid city becomes even more alive. Flashy neon lights decorate the Strip which goes into a party mode. You can enjoy a nice dinner in many of the renowned restaurants, take a walk in the beautiful pedestrian street that leads to the High Roller, enjoy some of the many shows, concerts, and events that go on all year round in the Strip. The options are endless.

The Next Morning
No matter how you spend the day or the night in Las Vegas, the next day early in the morning you will meet one of the calmest period of the city. It is the moment when the Strip is getting ready to start its unique vibe all over once again.
