East of the city of Stavanger in Norway there is this astounding piece of nature called Lysefjord. Lysefjord which means the Light Fjord is a long (42 km) and narrow (1.75 km) inlet of the sea between steep cliffs (over 1km). It has been formed by the ice approx. 10,000 years ago followed by sea flooding when the later glaciers retreated. Visiting the Light Fjord would offer you some very spectacular views of mountainous terrains, impressive cliffs, and astonishing waterfalls that Norway has to offer.
